An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a formal document that states the condition of your property’s electrical system.
During an EICR, a qualified electrician identifies any need for repairs or adjustments and ensures all wiring, outlets, sockets, and fittings are on par with safety standards.
Whether you’re a landlord, letting agent, or home owner, keeping your electrical system in good shape is the best way to prevent fires and hazardous incidents.Â
Should you need an EICR in Folkestone, feel free to call our expert team of electricians and property assessors. We work with the latest technology to provide you with tailored order management systems at competitive rates.
According to the updated Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020, landlords need to have their property’s electrical systems inspected at least once every five years.
They’re also required to issue copies of the report to their tenants not later than 28 days after the test.
Landlords must present satisfactory reports to new tenants before their moving day. This rule will also cover current tenancies starting 1 April 2021.
