An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is an official document that verifies whether a property’s electrical system is in optimal condition for service or not. The goal of the inspection is to determine any defect, deterioration, or condition that can lead to danger.
Backed by 10 years of experience, PropCert’s electricians are trained to help landlords, property owners, or letting agents who need an EICR in Dover.
The entire process of ordering, testing, and producing an EICR takes an average of only three days. Our electricians work swiftly and effectively, overseeing every stage of the process so you can focus on other aspects of property management
There are various reasons why a landlord or property owner should have an EICR carried out:
According to the updated Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020, landlords need to have their property’s electrical systems inspected at least once every five years.
They’re also required to issue copies of the report to their tenants not later than 28 days after the test.
Landlords must present satisfactory reports to new tenants before their moving day. This rule will also cover current tenancies starting 1 April 2021.
